Mauritania C90-C93

     The stamps, issued by Mauritania in 1969, show the course of the London to Sidney automobile rally in 1968. The competitors traveled through 11 countries in 11 days of driving. Of 100 cars that started 56 finished. The rally was won by car 75, a Hillman Hunter, driven by Andrew Cowan for Rootes Motors.
