The Union of Myanmar is a military junta which has governed the previous country of Burma since the end of World War II.. The United States does not recognize the name Myanmar, nor the military regime it represents.
     The State Peace and Development Council Administration issued this stamp for World Environment Day in 1994, with the theme “One Earth One Family.” The stamp features a map of Myanmar in a blue circle with a pillar in front of it. Toward the top of the stamp there is a group of green fragments. At the bottom are three skirted black figures.
