     Mayotte is a small island state east of the north end of the island of Madagascar. It has been administered by France since 1975. In 2001 Mayotte began the process to become a "department collectivity.
     The map is a shaded relief map. The island to the northeast of Mahoré is Chissioi M'Zamboro. Dzaoudzi, the French administrative center of Mayotte is located on Ile Pamanzi, which is linked to Mahoré by a causeway.
