The stamp shows a modern map of Belize issued in 1983 to mark Commonwealth Day. The map shows some of the major products of Belize.

    The map on the border of the souvenir sheet is the upper right hand portion of a map engraved by J. Rapkin for John Tallis and published about 1855. The nineteenth century ships on the stamp and the occasion for which the souvenir sheet was issued are not identified. The sheet was issued in 1982.
