     The souvenir sheet shows a map of the Silk Road and the stamp has a picture of the Kalta Minaret. The minaret was built between 1851 and 1855 in  (Khiva),  Uzbekistan. It was intended to be 70 to 80 meters high, but the builder quit and it is only 29 meters high and 14 meters in diameter. So, it is called "Kalta Minor," the Short Minaret.
     Uzbekistan is colored purple on the map. Khiva (Xhbа) is located near the center of the map.
